As you might expect from his name, Richard’s father was from Umbria in Italy. You may not expect that he also has Norwegian blood. Most of him is Welsh through and through. Married with a son and a daughter, Richard is a devoted father, even if much of his time is devoted to his chickens and his garden.
When he was young, Richard was a keen swimmer who represented British Catholic Schools in competitions in many overseas countries. Having also played football, rugby and cricket he now attempts to get out of the rough when playing golf as well as supporting Manchester United and being a season ticket holder at Cardiff City.
Richard is an avid reader who can be found lazing in his garden with the latest sporting biography. Get him talking about Andre Agassi or Richard Branson if you dare! Because of the family’s regular trips to visit relations in Italy, Richard has a particular interest in food and wine. He will wax lyrical on the topics of pasta, olives and Montepulciano.
